Notes on
ceramic media (grades and uses) |
|
CE 3 | General purpose ceramic fo use in virtually all cases where there is a requirement for ceramic media. Produces a good cut back and radiusing with a better than average wear rate. |
CE 4 | Fast cut for use in situations where there is a requirement for a very fast cut back rate. Wear rate is still good but not as good as CE 3 above. |
CE 7 | For very fast cut special applications |
CP 2 | Porcelain polishing media. Porcelain is a very dense media used in cases where a very high quality finish is required. On its own it has virtually no abrasive qualities but can be used for a very mild deburring and radiusing on fine or delicate parts. In these situations, the wear rate is negligible. |
CP 2 HD | High density porcelin polishing media. |
